In two or three billion years from now, some other type of being will be researching the primitive race that burned fossil fuels in the 20 & 21 centuries. They will not be studding what we did to destroy this planet, but rather what this planet did to eliminate us.

You worry about gas guzzling PIGS causing global warming, yet you ignore, or are ignorant to the fact that when Mt St. Helen blew her top, she, (one of mother natures own creations), puked more smog, ash, and sulfuric acid into the atmosphere than humans could do in 200 years. And have you noticed the weather patterns in the North east?? Greatest snow fall, coldest spring ever. And the mid west? Open your eyes. Global warming is a myth. A soap box to stand on.

THE NET RESULT OF VOLCANOS IS A GENERAL COOLING. EXTREME WEATHER DOESN'T MEAN THINGS ARE COOLER. GLOBAL WARMING MIGHT BE A MYTH, THAT BEING THE CASE, WHY ARE SO MANY PEOPLE, WHO ARE SMARTER THAN YOU AND ME, CONCERNED ABOUT IT?

You complain that sending money to Arab nations is bad, yet you environmental whack jobs won't let us extract the oil that we have right here in our own country. No, we have to transport it across oceans. Drilling for oil is safer now than ever before. Are you ignoring the fact that all of the worst oil disasters in history are from tankers transporting oil from other countries to here? Not from a pipeline safely buried in the ground! You are worried of disturbing a disgusting swamp in the Alaskan wilderness that no one goes to see anyway. Have you ever seen photos of where they propose to drill?? I thought not. It is not some postcard scene of fluffy polar bears and frolicking baby seals. It is a nasty wet, smelly marsh. And we don't intend to wipe out the whole damn thing ether. The plan is to explore on a small parcel, not even a 100th of the total area. This is why we depend on despot leaders of the Arab world for our fuel.

I DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT ANWAR SO I HAVEN'T TAKEN A POSITION ON DRILLING THERE. IF DRILLING THERE WERE THE ANSWER TO OIL DEPENDENCE (PUMPING TONS OF MONEY TO OPPRESSIVE REGIMES), HONESTLY I'D BE ALL FOR IT.

Do you really think that if we all drove Fiats that got 60 miles to the gallon, or we spent billions of dollars, and did actually discover a renewable fuel source, that all of the cruel Arab leaders of the world would instantly turn into nice guys? You think that without the millions our US dollars flowing into their economy, that the citizens of these countries would somehow be better off? Maybe they would have more food on there plates, better education, a better economy, a civilized democracy??? Do you really think that they would now live happily ever after without all our evil money? Who the hell are you kidding? To suggest that our money is the reason these people live in poverty and are mistreated is simply ignorant. People like Sadam Hussein, Arafat, Hitler, and Stalin, are the reason they suffer, not because I drive a SUV.

SUCKING OIL FROM THE GROUND ISN'T ROCKET SCIENCE. BRUTE FORCE PUTS MAFIA TYPES IN CONTROL OF A SINGLE RESOURCE. CONTROL OF INFORMATION (NO FREE PRESS) KEEPS THEM IN POWER, THEY BECOME "ROYALTY". I FEEL BAD FOR THE VAST MAJORITY OF CITIZENS THERE WHO AREN'T ALLOWED TO THINK FOR THEMSELVES. ITS NOT OUR FAULT, BUT MOST OF THE WORLD AGREES WE SHOULDN'T TREAT SUCH HORRIBLE GOVERNMENTS AS "MOST FAVORED NATIONS". IF WE WEREN'T SO DEPENDENT, WE COULD USE THE SAME KIND OF ECONOMIC PRESSURE THAT HELPED TO TRANSFORM EASTERN EUROPE. SANCTIONS IN IRAQ WERE HARDLY EFFECTIVE - "OIL FOR FOOD" KEPT SADDAM AND SONS IN LUXURIOUS PALACES WHILE THEIR CITIZENS STARVED.

The money we put into there economy is the only reason that the whole damn place can even support life! It's a fucking desert for Christ sake! Let's see them live without it! What else are they going to do for money? Export food? NOT. Export brain power...NOPE, Manufacture micro chips DON'T THINK SO. Oil is the only thing those camel jockeys have going for them. Take that away from them, and then what?

CHECK OUT ISRAEL, QATAR, AND TURKEY, OR EVEN CALIFORNIA AND NEVADA, AND ARIZONA, WITH LAND MUCH LIKE THE MIDDLE EAST. LOTS OF GOOD THINGS COME FROM ELECTED GOVERNMENTS. DEMOCRACY BLOWS AWAY AUTOCRACY. THEM CAMEL JOCKEYS COULD EXPORT ALL KINDS OF COOL THINGS IF THEY WERE FREE. WE AREN'T GENETICALLY SUPERIOR TO THEM.

I know that in your in your twisted mind you think that if we consume lots of fuel it must cause someone else to suffer. People like you feel guilty because you are so fortunate, and most of the world lives in poverty. It's not like there is only so much good fortune to go around. You don't have to take from others to be fortunate. They would still have a bad life even if you had nothing. I myself do not feel GUILTY. I did not trample on others to get to where I am.

So why don't you simply realize that you are one lucky son of a bitch to be born in the good OLE USA. Be proud, not embarrassed that you live in the best country in the world. And remember, we didn't get where we are by causing others to suffer, we once suffered with them until we left to create our own country. I think we did a damn good job! I'm proud to be an American! And if you don't like it, why don't you just leave.

ACTUALLY, I DON'T FEEL AT ALL GUILTY ABOUT BEING AN AMERICAN. THE MORE I TRAVEL THE WORLD, THE MORE I FEEL BLESSED TO BE AN AMERICAN CITIZEN. I LOVE IT HERE. BUT I STILL THINK GAS GUZZLERS SUCK.

OK, now let's be honest. What is really bothering you? It's not that Gas Pigs use fossil fuels. If that was the case, you wouldn't drive at all. You would walk to work, or take a bike. Somehow I believe that you have a car, maybe even two. Are you are upset because my pig uses more fuel than yours? Are you worried I will use it all up, and there won't be enough for you? There is so much crude oil on this planet. We will never use it all. What is your real problem?? I don't think you even know. You and your kind simply need a cause. If it's not gas pigs, it's animal rights, or save the trees, or gay rights, or no furs. And your all hypocrites. You all drive, you all eat meat, you all wear leather, you all live in wooden houses. Get a grip will you, and just enjoy life. Feeling guilt will not make you a better person.
