Hey Gas Pig tell me what caused the Ice Age and then what caused it to end! You see the earth has been here for billions of years and during that time many temperature changes have occurred. What affect does CO2 have on the atmosphere? Our 50, 60 maybe 100 year records compared to a billion year old planet have no validity what so ever. I'm all for the environment but let's face it, we don't know that SUV's are the cause of all our problems. People who can't afford them just don't like the fact that they have to sit behind
them on the road. CO2 is what my SUV puts in the atmosphere and CO2 is what we humans put in the atmosphere! Maybe the 6 billion people on this earth are the problem. Or maybe the cutting of all the rainforests and trees. I bet that if we had all our trees and rain forest the there would be no issue
against the SUV other than emotional reasons. Also how about targeting all the chemical and manufacturing plants that really hurt the atmosphere? Gas Pig needs to put his efforts toward something real!

thanks for the letter... perhaps you're right about global warming. maybe it's all a left wing conspiracy to bring down the rich man cause we're jealous that we can't see around his suv on the highway.... actually, i've heard reasonable arguments that in general, things have been cooling over the centuries. look, someone's gotta be a tree hugger - why do you think cars are cleaner than they were 30 years ago? because tree huggers said enough black smoke and demanded the regulations that eventually lead to cleaner technology. suvs are an industry's dream and an environmentalist's nightmare. throw the family station wagon on a farm vehicle's frame and everyone's a rancher. so we all drive around feeling like crocodile dundee with a dirty cheaper motor under the hood (big profits). - tell me the oil guys aren't laughing their heads off. 12-15mpg in today's high tech world is a joke and the joke's on us.
when you fill up at the pump, remember that a hefty chunk of your money is going directly to dictators in the middle east who oppress their own people and who don't really like you. it's called oil dependence and the best way to beat it is through conservation. what's so un-American about conservation, saving some for the kids?
why not target suvs? they're so obviously silly. big old top heavy low tech gas guzzlin wannabe ranch mobiles. if you told someone in 1965 that the family car of the future was going to be a gas guzzling truck, they wouldn't believe it. also, if you think the problem lies with the destruction of the rain forest or with chemical plants, perhaps you could do the world some good and speak up. we can't all just sit around watching tv hoping everything will be all right.
